Marxism/Communism

Infinity

(Money-less/ State-less/ Class-less) Society

Founder - Karl Marx, German Scholar

Wrote the Communist Manifesto.

“For each according to his "ability", to each according to his "needs” - A society where every person work according to his ability in terms of strength, knowledge e.t.c but the output will cover only basic needs.

Means of production and output is owned by the workers.

Example - Just think about human evolution before 10,000 years ago. Humans lived in tribes, there was no boundaries, class, no private ownership, food was shared, shelter was shared.

Karl Marx was born in a time of Industrial Revolution , where labourers were exploited by the owners and the profit was completely taken by the owners.

He mentioned 2 societies:

  • Owners of Wealth

  • Workers

He proposed Utopia/Communism - Perfect Society

Free Education/ Free Healthcare/ No Private ownership/ Equal Distribution of wealth.

First implementation of "Communism" was seen during the Russian revolution where workers overthrew the monarchs of Russia or the "Czar’s" family. The leader of the workers party was "Vladimir Lenin". The only difference between "Karl Marx" communism & "Lenin" Communism was that the ownership was not given in the hands of workers. Lenin created single party dictatorship, anyone who goes against communism was deported or killed.

Why Communism goes into dictatorship ?

  • Working according to his/her ability, but getting only basic needs.

  • In a classless society, there is a power vacuum, government controls everything land, wealth e.t.c leads to corruption as complete power goes into government officials.

  • Only successful in small communities. Eg - Rajneespuram by Osho in U.S.A, Auroville ashram in Pondicherry

Good Things from Communism:

  • No class in society

  • Worker Rights

  • Inheritance wealth are taxed

  • Free education/ Free Health ideas

"Marxism" failed because its principle couldn’t act as a solution for different kinds of sufferings or problems. It was only focused on the suffering of the poor. It was limited in its approach.
